I don't know that the urge to destroy is there so much as the urge to do something better. It just comes off as destruction because, if you're doing the Jesus freak thing, everything is fucked and the only way to fix it is via Rapture.
If you're a liberal, the only way you can see to fight the power is...to fight the power.
Also less than helpful.
I'd totally elect a pirate though. You'd always know where you stood.
